Top of the Morning to you – from Dublin!

Date

So my trip started well with an early morning start on Ryanair, and the flight actually departed EARLY!  A very quick flight followed and touched down in a windy Dublin.  Straight through the airport in speedy time and into a taxi, and within 15 minutes I had arrived at Anantara The Marker Dublin.

What a lovely welcome – Kevin the doorman was a delight to chat to and so professionally attentive, the reception staff smiley and I was soon checked into my room.  I thought I had been given a suite, but no, all the rooms are as spacious as this, beautiful furnishings, amenities and the beds soooo comfy!  Fabulous views over the water and the Bord Gais Energy Theatre.  Only 10 minutes walk to the Convention Centre and 15 minutes walk to Grafton Street in the centre of Dublin.

With 187 rooms, mostly all of the same specification, this is a perfect location for a group of 120 people – bright, modern and airy, all the meeting space is on the ground floor in one area, next to the bar and extremely convenient!  I especially liked that the lounge offered reading glasses on the tables in a beautiful show box for those who needed them and had forgotten – never have I seen that in a hotel before!  Possibly they go missing frequently….but it’s a wonderful idea nonetheless.  The food was delicious – the club sandwich for lunch could feed 2 people and the breakfast selection vast 😊..  Dublin is a wonderful city, with buildings old and new combined.  I didn’t have time to visit the Irish Emigration Museum which was a shame, but there were several Irish Whisky Museums to view….

So what to do on my own in Dublin for the evening – no better place than to go next door to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre to watch The Drifters.  What an amazing theatre, spectacular show and I was really pleased that I was brave enough to go solo – everyone was bopping along to the songs by the end and having a whale of a time!

Next day I had the opportunity to meet the amazing sales team – Jennifer, Pamela, Natalia, Veronica, Ida, Ignacio and Francisco.  A brilliant bunch, who always reply promptly to requests and ever keen to make guest stays as pleasant and memorable as possible.  Of course we had to have a photo, some were camera shy but me being a bossy boots made them all smile and we achieved a lovely pic, thank you team 😊

Kevin the doorman of course helped throughout and ordered a taxi for me back to the airport, and literally 15 minutes later I had arrived.  Incredibly Ryanair again did not disappoint and was on time, and back to London Luton in 70 minutes.

For your next event, why not look at Dublin, for ease and speed, the service second to none, amongst many other attributes – please ask us to quote for Anantara The Marker Dublin – it will certainly exceed your expectations!

Thank you so much Dublin, I’ll be back for more soon!
