One love…

I set off, with more than a little trepidation, for LHR last Wednesday, having not set foot on an aeroplane for over 2 years, doubts fluttering as to whether travel would have changed. The highs and lows of the airport and plane journey felt exactly as they used to!

Any remaining apprehensions quickly evaporated on arriving to a wonderful warm welcome in Jamaica (and a delicious Jamaican patty….an unexpected highlight!). Feeling the soft powdery sand between my toes and witnessing the magical Caribbean Sea; reminded me how cooped up we have been for the last couple of years and that I never will take the wonderful gift of travel for granted!

I was lucky enough to escort a fantastic group of agents and what a trip we had, all arranged by lovely Shenika and the Jamaican Tourist Board – from climbing the stunning Dunn’s waterfalls , whizzing down through the jungle on a bobsleigh Rainforest Adventures , diving off a catamaran into the clearest azure water catamaran cruise, and visiting the birth and resting place of the legendary Bob Marley. We stayed at the fabulous Moon Palace Jamaica where we were treated to incredible food including delicious jerk chicken & fish on the beach, and the dramatic hibachi table at Momo. The stunning pools and long, white sandy beach are a joy for those snatched moments of relaxation, and we marvelled at those courageous (and energetic!) enough to tackle the flowrider

We packed in a huge amount into a few days, experiencing some of the highlights of Jamaica and have returned home with that warm feeling of fabulous memories and of course still humming ‘One Love….’ for Jamaica .
