Mauritius is closer than you think. With direct flights from London, Paris, Dubai, Frankfurt, Barcelona and beyond, this tropical island is perfectly connected for both leisure seekers and incentive groups.
Trou aux Biches: beachfront bliss
At Beachcomber Trou aux Biches, the lobby opens straight onto sea views framed by palms. We stayed in the Beachfront Pool Suite, just steps from the sand — the most popular choice, and for good reason.
Service was seamless, and my husband and I savoured the pan-Asian cuisine at Blue Ginger, especially the sushi and sashimi.
Shandrani: refreshed & relaxed
The refurbished Shandrani Resort & Spa dazzles with its light-toned Grant Port Restaurant. A new adult-only section and Serendipity restaurant create a haven of calm.
Evenings at the Purple for 2 Bar were unforgettable, with Sega rhythms and rum cocktails setting the island mood.
Paradis: grandeur by Le Morne
Beside the iconic Le Morne, Paradis Golf Resort & Spa boasts a magnificent beach. Dinner at Blue Marlin was spectacular, while nearby Dinarobin impressed with its new Indian restaurant, Rangoli.
I couldn’t resist a one-to-one golf lesson with Rajesh — an amazing experience. Together, Paradis and Dinarobin can host up to 800 guests, making them ideal for large groups.
North Islands adventure
A day trip to Gabriel, Flat Island, and Gunner’s Point was pure joy. We snorkelled for hours in crystal-clear waters — though my husband paid the price with a sunburn! Thanks to Mautourco for organizing this unforgettable outing.
Nature’s touch
Everywhere we went, flamboyant trees were ablaze with vibrant red blossoms, adding a fiery splash of colour to the island’s lush scenery.
Mauritius delivered it all: beachfront luxury, cultural vibrancy, grand hospitality, fiery blossoms, and island adventures. A destination that inspires, rewards, and lingers long after you’ve left.
