The Signature Selection Experience

Warmed by the southern rays, the sleepy seaside town of Bentota nestles between the Indian Ocean and the Benthara River. Here you can enjoy unparalleled convenience and luxury in a destination comprising of dramatic local architecture, inventive restaurants, a luxury spa and gym. Many of the hotel’s original 1960s textile decorations have been lovingly recreated, particularly the batiks on the reception ceiling and the handloom ceiling in the Peacock salon and bar, which have been faithfully matched to the 1967 originals.

All 156 rooms and 16 themed suites tell a story. Sensitively decorated the Signature interiors are spacious and welcoming. Four signature restaurants, bars and lounges make dining an adventure in taste. The world-class chefs use locally sourced ingredients to create authentic Sri Lankan or International fusion cuisine as well as traditional European or American cuisines. The gourmet seafood menus at Sea Meats Spice on the beach are a culinary experience not to be missed. Whether you are looking for relaxation or a work out, the Spa Ceylon Luxury Ayurveda or the modern well equipped gym are highly reccomended.

Sophisticated meeting spaces and venues ensures that your events are not only seamless but also memorable. There are a range of indoor and garden spaces that can be used to great effect for events and the spacious grand ballroom can accommodate up to 300 guests.

Hosmarkhotels ‘Going Greener’ strategy has been developed as MICE, leisure & business travel markets are beginning to concentrate their activities on suppliers that have strong green credentials. As many of our partners are in diverse destinations, it is key that the hotels are operated in a sustainable way and that the impact of tourism does not have an adverse effect  on the indigenous people and wider environment of that country.

Many of our hotel partners are committed to environmental, social and cultural conservation across their locations and are working towards recognised accreditations. As such, we have asked our hotels to provide details of their policies and activities in our survey below. More information and links to the evidence that support this survey can be found here:  This hotel's Green Survey
