A uniquely designed hotel by the waterfront in Copenhagen

Copenhagen Island offers 326 guest rooms, 8 meeting rooms and a spectacular location right by the waterfront in Copenhagen Harbour. The architecture is inspired by life at sea, with large bright spaces, light materials and a view to the water from most parts of the hotel. The onsite restaurant,The Harbour, is well-known for the impressive floor-to ceiling glass facade and their Nordic cuisine.

At Copenhagen Island you will stay well-connected to the city centre, where a 30 minute pleasant walk along the waterfront will take you to the colorful port of Nyhavn, passing by the Royal Library and other interesting design icons along the way. The metro will connect you to the rest of the city and the airport within minutes (nearest metro station is located 400 meters from the hotel).

For the active guests and swimmers, there is a fitness centre on-site and an outdoor public pool right in front of the hotel.

Copenhagen Island is often booked together with its sister hotel, the impressive Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center, for large congresses and conferences, where a total buy-out of the two hotels reaches 1005 guest rooms all together. The two hotels are located just across the road with only 400m from door-to-door. When reserved together with Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center, Copenhagen Island is ideal for meetings off-venue for smaller groups, and for exclusive lunches by the water in restaurant The Harbour. They make the organisation easy for you by offering the same terms & conditions when booking both hotels.

Hosmarkhotels ‘Going Greener’ strategy has been developed as MICE, leisure & business travel markets are beginning to concentrate their activities on suppliers that have strong green credentials. As many of our partners are in diverse destinations, it is key that the hotels are operated in a sustainable way and that the impact of tourism does not have an adverse effect  on the indigenous people and wider environment of that country.

Many of our hotel partners are committed to environmental, social and cultural conservation across their locations and are working towards recognised accreditations. As such, we have asked our hotels to provide details of their policies and activities in our survey below. More information and links to the evidence that support this survey can be found here:  This hotel's Green Survey
