5-star grand luxury in Malaga
The masterpiece of architect Fernando Guerrero Strachan, opened in 1926 by King Alfonso XIII, is now restored to its original use as a hotel and its former glories.
Santos Hotels has reconverted this architectural jewel with all its historical and architectural features, to make it the only 5-star grand luxury hotel in Malaga.
Located in the area of La Caleta, between Paseo de Reding avenue and the sea front, with the main entrance facing the sea, it offers stunning views over the Bay of Malaga and yet just 5 minutes from the city's top museums (including the Picasso; Carmen Thyssen; Centre Pompidou and Hermitage)
The hotel has 190 rooms, including 29 suites, which offer views of the sea, the city, the historic gardens or Royal Courtyard. It has 10 meeting rooms where any type of event or social gathering can be held, with a maximum capacity of 600 people. There are three separate dining spaces, each serving different menus, from grand cuisine to poolside snacks and two bars serving a large selection of international drinks.
Hosmarkhotels ‘Going Greener’ strategy has been developed as MICE, leisure & business travel markets are beginning to concentrate their activities on suppliers that have strong green credentials. As many of our partners are in diverse destinations, it is key that the hotels are operated in a sustainable way and that the impact of tourism does not have an adverse effect on the indigenous people and wider environment of that country.
Many of our hotel partners are committed to environmental, social and cultural conservation across their locations and are working towards recognised accreditations. As such, we have asked our hotels to provide details of their policies and activities in our survey below. More information and links to the evidence that support this survey can be found here: This hotel's Green Survey
