An oasis in the centre of Cordoba

The Hospes Palacio del Bailio has been built over the remains of an impressive Roman villa and indoor Roman baths. Influenced by the historic Islamic architecture and Roman remains, the hotel is a truly unique destination.

The hotel is set in the heart of the Cordoba, just a 15-minute walk from the Cordoba mosque and a short distance from the Jewish Quarter and the Synagogue, the only one of its kind in Andalusia. Spend the morning visiting the Botanical Gardens and soak up the history at the Arab Baths, the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos and the Palacio-Museo de la Viana. At night, choose from a wide variety of bars or enjoy the musical and theatrical performances that the city has in store for you.

Cuisine and history come together in the restaurant Arbequina, where you can enjoy the traditional Cordoban flavours prepared with the freshest of ingredients and the latest culinary methods whilst contemplating the remains of an ancient Roman house right under your feet through the glass floor.

Organise your event in an authentic Mudejar Library and give it an exclusive historical touch. All meeting rooms are naturally lit and air-conditioned.

Through the Patio de los Naranjos and the Mudejar area of the hotel, you will reach the patio of the Bodyna spa, flanked by Roman columns, where teams of professionals will pamper you with treatments in the massage rooms. Afterwards, head underground and immerse yourself in the warm waters of the Roman baths.

Hosmarkhotels ‘Going Greener’ strategy has been developed as MICE, leisure & business travel markets are beginning to concentrate their activities on suppliers that have strong green credentials. As many of our partners are in diverse destinations, it is key that the hotels are operated in a sustainable way and that the impact of tourism does not have an adverse effect  on the indigenous people and wider environment of that country.

Many of our hotel partners are committed to environmental, social and cultural conservation across their locations and are working towards recognised accreditations. As such, we have asked our hotels to provide details of their policies and activities in our survey below. More information and links to the evidence that support this survey can be found here:  This hotel's Green Survey

Hospes focuses its activity in such a way that it enhances its positive environmental impacts and eliminates or mitigates the negative ones, whichwill improve its competence and environmental sustainability.
